Sociolog\u00eda, Antropolog\u00eda e Historia: la UMSS abre sus puertas a las carreras que explican la Bolivia del siglo XXI<\/em><\/p>\n

Cochabamba, 5 de febrero de 2026.<\/strong>– En un pa\u00eds que ha cambiado profunda y aceleradamente, las Ciencias Sociales se consolidan como una herramienta clave para comprender la Bolivia del siglo XXI. En ese contexto, la Universidad Mayor de San Sim\u00f3n (UMSS) abri\u00f3 oficialmente la convocatoria a las carreras de Sociolog\u00eda, Antropolog\u00eda e Historia, reafirmando la vigencia y la relevancia de estas disciplinas en Bolivia y en el mundo.<\/p>\n

En #ElAvispero, Mar\u00eda Teresa Zegada, una de las soci\u00f3logas y cientistas pol\u00edticas m\u00e1s importantes del pa\u00eds y referente intelectual a nivel continental, destac\u00f3 que estudiar Ciencias Sociales permite entender una sociedad distinta, con nuevos intereses, nuevas actividades econ\u00f3micas y nuevos actores sociales que hoy no est\u00e1n siendo plenamente comprendidos.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\u201cLo que te brindan estas ciencias es la posibilidad de entender esta Bolivia del siglo XXI, una Bolivia muy distinta a la del siglo pasado\u201d, se\u00f1al\u00f3 Zegada, al remarcar que en el pa\u00eds ha emergido un nuevo sector social cuya din\u00e1mica a\u00fan no logra ser explicada por los an\u00e1lisis tradicionales. Esta transformaci\u00f3n, dijo, se reflej\u00f3 claramente en las elecciones de 2025, cuando el comportamiento electoral evidenci\u00f3 el distanciamiento de la poblaci\u00f3n tanto de proyectos hegem\u00f3nicos como de propuestas abiertamente liberales.<\/p>\n

Para la docente de la UMSS, las Ciencias Sociales no solo sirven para la pol\u00edtica, sino para todos los \u00e1mbitos: el empresarial, el p\u00fablico, el acad\u00e9mico y el social. \u201cSi no se entiende de qu\u00e9 pa\u00eds se trata Bolivia, es muy dif\u00edcil moverse en cualquier campo\u201d, afirm\u00f3, subrayando que estas carreras aportan herramientas fundamentales para analizar la realidad, comprenderla y actuar en ella desde distintas perspectivas.<\/p>\n

Zegada destac\u00f3 adem\u00e1s que estas disciplinas abren m\u00faltiples campos de especializaci\u00f3n, con acceso a posgrados, congresos internacionales, debates globales y espacios de reflexi\u00f3n sobre la globalizaci\u00f3n, la identidad y el desarrollo, convirti\u00e9ndose en una opci\u00f3n atractiva para los j\u00f3venes que buscan proyectarse hacia el mundo.<\/p>\n

Por su parte, Gabriela Canedo, coordinadora de la carrera de Antropolog\u00eda de la UMSS, resalt\u00f3 el plantel docente de primer nivel con el que cuenta San Sim\u00f3n y record\u00f3 que existen facilidades de inscripci\u00f3n. Inform\u00f3 que los profesionales titulados no requieren rendir examen de ingreso, ya que su t\u00edtulo los habilita directamente para acceder a estas carreras.<\/p>\n

La UMSS ratifica as\u00ed su compromiso con la formaci\u00f3n cr\u00edtica, plural y de excelencia, invitando a la poblaci\u00f3n a sumarse a las Ciencias Sociales, las carreras que permiten entender el pa\u00eds, leer el mundo y construir futuro.<\/p>\n
